La Nuova Zena is about community — because we want to bring together the key players of Genoa and Liguria’s vibrant musical and creative scenes. It’s about building connections — creating a network where ideas and opportunities can flourish. We believe that through these connections, new opportunities will arise.

Collaboration is at the heart of it all, because developing the local scene requires us to work together. We’re dedicated to promotion and valorizzation — shining a spotlight on the artistic and professional talents of the local new generations. It’s also about storytelling — sharing their stories both locally and worldwide to give them the visibility they deserve.

We see the local music industry as an already existing, vital ecosystem that just needs to be united and formalized. Through creative direction, we want to represent the incredible diversity of sounds, languages, styles, and genres that characterize our scene.

Cultural project management plays a key role — inspired by Silvia Nocentini’s approach — as La Nuova Zena was born as an input-output research project after winning the Jazz:Re:Found Ale X Sempre bursary at the end of 2024. NoOx started implementing La Nuova Zena from 2025, developing it through ongoing events, initiatives, and community moments that are still active today.

We’re passionate about social innovation, aiming to create a positive socio-economic and cultural impact. And at the core, La Nuova Zena believes that the new generations are the present — they are already shaping the present and future, and we’re here to support and amplify their voice.
